FAQ's

Do eyelash extensions cause any damage to my natural eyelashes?

No, not if the eye lash extensions are applied correctly by a trained professional. As a trained lash artist I can properly assess your lashes and create a bespoke set using the correct lengths and weights you can wear safely week in week out. You should be able to comb through your individual lashes with none stuck together, they should feel weightless and soft and never cause you any pain or irritation.

Do I need a break from having infills?

Everyones lashes are different. Some peoples lashes are thiner and weaker than others. I always check the health of my clients natural lashes to see how they are and if they need a lighter set, or even a break. Always return for infills within the time agreed, or leave them to fall out naturally, or get them removed professionally by me. Never attempt to remove the extensions yourself. This will damage and cause harm to your natural lashes.

Why are eyelash extensions so expensive?

Eyelash Extensions are a luxury treatment. I use the best quality synthetic mink lashes as well as the best quality medically approved glue to ensure the best service and lashes that last. Applying a set of extensions is a very intricate skill that should only be done by a highly trained professional. My initial cost of lashes is expensive because they take time and skill. My infills are very competitive and I aim to keep prices reasonable so they are affordable.

Why can’t I get my eyelashes wet in the first 24 hours?

Do not get your extensions wet for the first 24 hours - exposing your lash extensions to any moisture, such as steam, high humidity and water, will result in the lash glue over-curing and becoming brittle, and your extensions will fall off within a few days. It is vital you follow this rule in order to get the maximum amount of retention out of them as possible.

Can I use make up or oily products on them?

Never apply mascara or liquid or gel eyeliner to your extensions, or upper eyelid. Both will adhere to the extensions, cannot be easily cleansed off and will create a breeding ground for bacteria. Always arrive with clean extensions; the job or your therapist is not to clean your lashes due to the lack of client aftercare. Unclean extensions will either require a full removal for client safety, an additional cleansing fee, or less lashing time due to the cleaning time needed. If you ignore this rule then you may be charged for a removal and full set.

Why have I lost more lashes on one eye than the other?

This is always an obvious indication that the client sleeps on that side during the night, and this puts pressure onto the bonds of the eyelash extensions and can cause them to fall off. I know its hard but try not to sleep on your face. Although you cannot control how you sleep, try to avoid sleeping on your face. This will put pressure on your lashes and can result in them falling out quicker.
